Pastor Alan, his wife, Anne, son, Bennett and daughter, Abigail

Pastor Wright's Biography

Having committed his life to the Lord as a young teenager, our Pastor heard the unmistakable voice of God call him into the ministry as a college senior. Since that holy moment, Alan has served as a youth minister, and later, Pastor of a vibrantly growing church in Durham, NC. He was called as Senior Pastor of Reynolda Presbyterian Church in November, 1996.

Alan grew up in Greensboro, NC, and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he graduated with honors in 1984. He was educated at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, and was Valedictorian of his class.

He met his marvelous wife, Anne, at Chapel Hill. Anne, a Winston-Salem native, attended Carolina and graduated from Wake Forest University.

Since their marriage in 1985, Anne has spent three years teaching Kindergarten, many years as Alan's partner in ministry, and several years as a full-time Mom.

The Wright's have two children: Bennett and Abigail who teach them about the "abundant life".

Alan enjoys writing and has had three books published. They are A Chance at Childhood Again, Lover of My Soul, and The God Moment Principle. The first book, A Chance At Childhood Again, has now been released with a new title, A Childlike Heart

Pastor Jim, his wife, Suzanne, and children Rachel, Erin, McKay, and Margaret

Pastor Glasgow's Biography

Dr. Jim Glasgow graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1979 and received a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He came to Reynolda in 2001 after serving twenty years at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, NC.

The filling and empowerment of the Holy Spirit has had tremendous meaning in Jim's personal and ministerial life. All the gifts of the Holy Spirit are necessary for the vital health of the church and Jim wants to assist others in discovering and developing their God given gifts for the benefit and blessing of others.

Jim has been married to Suzanne since 1985. When asked to talk about Suzanne, Jim said "She is thoughtful and compassionate and simply my best friend. She is a wonderful mom and makes our home a refreshing place." They have four children: Rachel, Erin, McKay, and Margaret.
